work includes:

Responding
to government policy initiatives;

Advocating
on issues of concern to the region;

Resourcing
networks and forums and facilitating consultation between government
agencies, local organisations and 'communities of interest';

Working
with local community organisations and groups to enhance environmental
quality and community life in our region;

Producing
a quarterly publication 'InfoNews'; and
· Promoting
and researching social development needs in the region.
